Our self-adhesive films are certified by the Romanian Automobile Register (RAR) and are made from plastic material (polyvinylbutyral) with a couple of micrometer thickness and a very high breaking strength. By application of such films to a regular car window or between two window foils, it increases the breaking strength of the windows dozens of times. The UV window protection films are stable against ultraviolet rays and once placed on the car window they will increase its UV protection and reduce the heat and other radiation input through the window.
RAR films - coating and recommendations
The removal of the diaphane plastic film exposes the binding agent, which can be activated by spraying a water and soap mixed solution. Then, the film is fasten on the inner side or if the case, on the outer side of the glass and the water excess is removed with a special device. The film is conceived in such way that it perfectly suitable for plate glass. It is not recommended for "wavy" surfaces or for any surfaces (even smooth) other than glass. There are particularly designed products for special surfaces, like polycarbonate and acrylic. The reflecting films may reject heat up to 80%. The strength of the UV protection films depends on many factors, e.g. the installation method, window orientation, location, etc. There were cases when the window films have lasted more than 10 years.
Benefits of the RAR certified adhesive film
- passenger protection against UV rays
- enhanced durability against scratches in the special protection layers
- additional passenger protection against broken glass in case of car crash
- the operation is reversible, one can return to the initial configuration of the glass
