Start fixing the holes:
  • Small holes are generally created by nailing or drilling on walls to place pictures but they are easy to repair. You can start off with removing high spots and loose paint wherever you see on the wall by using sandpaper.

Start placing the tape into the wall, move the first and press it, now place the second tape so that it takes form of letter X.
  • Fix them by taking putty onto the tip of putty knife and apply it on the hole. To get it done properly ensure that you do not over fill the compound into the hole. Applying one coat of compound after the other when dried is the right way to fix holes.
  • After the holes get dried, use sand paper on the holes to sooth and finish the wall. Make sure you don’t smooth the wall for long time else the tape might get expose it will lead to unfinished touch and even indentations.
  • Finally smooth the wall area you repaired and clean the wall from any dirt or sagging compound. You can use damp sponge or clean cotton cloth to get this done for better colouring.
