HT-AVR or HT-Automatic Voltage Regulators are the high-tension stabilizers that protect electrical equipment from overloading of voltage. These voltage regulators supply a continuous and stable input voltage. Manufactured using hi-tech technology, the automatic voltage regulators are capable of managing load conditions and wide voltage fluctuating ranges. The solid state relays integrated in the voltage controllers sends signals to the controlling servo voltage stabilizer motor. Further, it drives the roller mechanism in a specific direction to bring the voltage equivalent to the rated output voltage.
Construction

  • In High Tension-Automatic Voltage Regulators, there are helical coils mounted on a conventional laminated core
  • Carbon rollers goes around the length of the coil track & are assembled on a fiber glass carrier board
  • The rollers are connected to the electric output terminals
  • Parallel connection of compensating winding near the regulating coil is done
  • The connection between the windings and regulating coils is short circuited so as to reduce the effect of core-flux fringing
  • It keeps the reactance of the regulator constant at any position of the rolling contact
