Siam International AB has its origins in Gislaveds Kupongbandsfabrik AB, which was founded in 1960 for the manufacture of rubber bands. Its location in Gislaved was completely natural, since that is where the raw material, in the form of extruded raw rubber hose, was purchased from Gislaved Gummifabrik AB. The raw rubber hose was cut and sliced into rubber bands and packaged in the familiar blue and yellow boxes for distribution to customers in the Swedish and Nordic markets.
