COMPANY PROFILE

  South Engineers Sdn. Bhd. started in the 1950s’ as a manufacturer of wire and wire products and also as an importer and trader of electrical & gas appliances and machinery.   Today, we are still one of the main players in the manufacture of wire and wire products for the building industry like building reinforcement mesh (BRC), wire nails and square galvanised steel wire guard (OWG).     We were importers and sole agents for several renowned brands of electric and gas appliances like gas / electric ovens, refrigerator, washing machine, slow cooker, water filter, air cleaner / ioniser etc. etc.     During the same period, we also started as a sole agent of imported electric water heaters in the early 1960s’ and eventually pioneered the manufacture in 1967 under the brand ‘IGNIS’. Through the process of evolution and our ‘never-ending’ quest for quality improvement, we again pioneered and introduced our ‘stainless steel’ range of electric water heaters in which stainless steel is decidedly the superb and ultimate material for the manufacture of the highest quality of water heaters.     In the 1980s’ due to the rapid housing development boom and progress in the standard of living and to cater to a growing sophisticated market, we introduced a new brand ‘ELTON’ electric storage water heater and the ‘first of it’s kind’ – ENERGY-Free Air-Cond. Water Heater.   In the 1990s’ to meet the demand of a new market for easy-to-install type of products, we introduced our ‘ELTON’ Electric Instant Waters.

All our electric water heater are tested by SIRIM and approved by JBE.
