COMPANY PROFILE

Oncorporated in 1974 as Syarikat Ejensi Rakyat Sdn Bhd, Spirolite (M) Sdn Bhd commenced business in 1981, principally engaged in the manufacturing of large diameter High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polypropylene (PP) Pipes and Tanks Systems, referred to as ''SPIRAL'' products. It is the only firm in South East Asia that manufactures these ''SPIRAL'' products under license from BAUKU, Germany. Our ''SPIRAL'' products are excellent choices for various range of applications which include sewerage, effluent treatment and disposal, irrigation, culverts, water and industrial storage tanks, washers and scrubber lines, sea outfall line, etc. In 1990, the company expanded its products portfolio by venturing into manufacturing and trading of the straight extruded HDPE and PP pipes to exploit opportunities arising from increased demand in the water supply and gas distribution markets besides supplementing its existing ''SPIRAL'' pipes. In 1992, the company formed a wholly owned subsidiary, Spirolite Marketing Sdn Bhd to improvise on the efficiency and effectiveness of its marketing operations. All products manufactured by the company are sold through this subsidiary. In 1993, the company again undertake the manufacturing of HDPE corrugated or subsoil drainage pipes which at present are in great demand as subsoil drainage for highways and roads, golf fields, stadiums and playing fields, agriculture land, building foundation, etc. In 1997, Spirolite acquired another company namely Advanced Piping Systems Sdn Bhd ("APS"). APS is a leading manufacturer of SIRIM approved High Density Polyethylene Pipes ranging from 20mm OD to 450mm OD for the application of gas distribution, portable water submarine pipeline, slurry transportation, chemical transportation, cable conduit and sewerage line. APS also produces fittings such as bend, equal tee, end cap and reducer. The superiority of these products has earned the recognition and endorsement from SIRIM, JKR and other local authorities. Today, Spirolite (M) Sdn Bhd has established a niche market and is well positioned to compete and explore new opportunities arising in its existing and potential markets. It has earned the recognition and endorsement of local authorities such as SIRIM, JKR, JBA, JPP etc. as well as the private sector for its high quality products, made possible through efforts of its dedicated workforce comprising personnel from various fields of expertise working in harmony, coupled with technical supervision by German engineers to maintain the superior quality of our products.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Spirolite factory is situated on a wholly owned 4 acres land in Bangi Industrial Estate, Selangor. Our production capacity for PE products is 5,000 metric tonnes per year and our major customers are namely JKR, sewerage contractors, Water-works Department, Maxis, DID, Seaport and Airport drainage, highways contractors, chemical plant, housing developers and etc.

QUALITY

In 2001, our Company has been awarded MS ISO9002:1994 Quality Systems Certification by SIRIM QAS Sdn Bhd, which was subsequently upgraded to MS ISO 9001 : 2000 in year 2003.
