Bernetta Pritchard has been painting distinctive, one-of-a-kind rosemaled artwork for over 25 years. Primarily a self-taught artist, Bernetta''s Norwegian-American style of rosemaling incorporates the classic design elements of old-world Scandinavian folk art and the colors more common in today''s homes. A family venture, both Bernetta and her husband Don put in long hours to make Stone Valley Gallery so successful. A majority of the rosemaled gifts that Bernetta rosemals so beautifully originate in Don''s woodshop. This pair has produced no fewer than 15,000 rosemaled wooden items in the past five years. Stone Valley Gallery is located in Fall River, a small, south-central Wisconsin community. There Bernetta uses oil-based paints to rosemal in primarily three distinct styles: Telemark, Rogaland, and Valdres. Learn more about rosemaling and the history of rosemaling here. The Artwork All of Bernetta''s items are uniquely hand-crafted and individually rosemaled. No two items will be identical, and no items can be reproduced exactly. Exact reproductions of designs and colors of the product photos on this website are not possible or attempted. To assure customers of the finest quality of work, items are painted as orders are received. Most orders take 3 - 4 weeks for delivery. Please contact us for approximate delivery dates. Rosemaled designs and colors will vary unless specified or custom ordered. Specific preferences for design colors can be requested on custom rosemaling. Samples of fabric, wall paper, etc. MUST be provided on custom orders or when preferred colors are requested in order to assure a close match.
