The telecom industry has been searching for the best way to deliver higher broadband speeds and a more stable service. Whitebox ADSL2+ loop extenders solve this problem by boosting the ADSL2+ signal so that it can reach further and operate more reliably. The loop extender is an active element, installed in the outside loop plant, that amplifies and equalizes the signal.
Our Series A ADSL2+ loop extenders work exceptionally well for reaching distant customers with ADSL2+ service. Similarly, the Series B IPTV Boosters are intended for boosting speed at closer distances. Now we are introducing the Series L line powered loop extender which can be powered using power from the service pair.
Our secret to success in using line power is to add additional power to the service pair. A telephone switch is not designed to be a general purpose power supply and its use as such creates some concerns for the service and the switch. When the telephone goes off hook, the voltage from the switch plummets from -48v to as low as -7v. This does not allow for a reliable ADSL extender or a reliable telephone service when both are competing for this limited power. We utilize a power supply in the central office to boost the signaling voltage well above 48v, so the loop extender can use the excess power yet pass the normal 48v to the telephone. By boosting the line power, you can significantly extend the reach of your ADSL services and improve the reach of your telephone service too
