Sweet Letter Press began in 2006 in Brooklyn, NY when we - graphic designer Elizabeth Eastman and artist/illustrator Matthew Winheld - decided to design our own wedding invitations. After several detailed prototypes and many grueling August days of assembly, that first invitation was made and Sweet Letter Press was born. Since moving to Colorado in 2007, Sweet Letter Press has expanded to offer a full line of stationery – invitations, announcements, greetings, and notes – with themes ranging from elegant to irreverent. Our products combine modern design sensibilities with traditional letterpress printing, all done on our 117 year old press. The result is fresh and tactile, and each run is unique. The unique quality of letterpress printing is achieved by pressing a raised surface into paper, creating a crisp, textured result. The look and feel of a letterpress invitation or greeting summons a bygone era and is, in our opinion, unmatched by any other form of printing. In today's fast-paced age of modern technology, it is an ardent celebration of the tactile and the traditional. Given its timeless nature, it is a particularly poignant way to mark the entrance into the sacred and ancient tradition of marriage. Sweet Letter Press is a design & letterpress studio based in Boulder, Colorado.  We are a husband and wife team committed to making environmentally responsible choices, both in the high quality materials we choose and in our day to day operations.  We specialize in extravagant and unique stationery for all of life’s sweetest moments.
