Based on the Bidding Documents for Purchasing Railway Passenger Cars and General Technical Specification of Model 25K Railway Passenger Car issued by Ministry of Railway, PRC, TRC developed and manufactured the Model RW25K Air-Conditioned Cushioned Berth Sleeping Car.The planar arrangement of this car is as follows: vestibules at its both ends; lavatory, attendant’s room, electric water boiler, power distribution room and short-corridor at “B” end of the car; lavatory and short-corridor at “A” end of the car; washing room, 9 cushioned berth sleeping compartments and side corridor at the central part.Some advanced technology and subassemblies such as SW-160 bogie, type 104 or F8 electro-pneumatic brake, electronic anti-skid regulator, disc brake, and unitary brake cylinder are employed. The air-conditioning set is placed on the car roof of “B” end of the car, and the water tank on the car roof of “A” end of the car.Novel materials and design concept is introduced to the most extent for interior decoration. Each compartment has four berths. The texture of the berth is of fireproof type, and its tone is harmonious with the internal color of the car. Whether or not having a bath room in the car shall be as the client’s preference.The electric connector is of large power type widely used in railway passenger cars. Power is supplied via two circuits. Tightly sealed gangway diaphragm or rubber diaphragm is employed. Air is supplied for brake system via two pipes. The external paint tone will be the popular color of Model 25K cars or as the client’s preference.
