Based on the proven technology of Model 25 series railway passenger cars, TRC developed and produced the Model XL25T Luggage Van as per the relevant standard and provisions stipulated in the bidding documents issued by MoR, PRC. The luggage van features beautiful profile, reasonable layout, reliable performance and convenient maintenance. Its main technical indexes are in accordance with GB/T 12817 General Technical Terms and Conditions of Standard Gauge Railway Passenger Car.The carbody is of tubular section with center sill and integral load-carrying structure. Metallic lacquer with varnish coated on is preferred for side sheathing (including side roof). The glass fiber board is inserted inside the lining for thermal insulation. Plywood with plastic film glued on is employed for panel, ceiling and partition wall of power distribution cabinet at the vestibule of “B” end of the luggage van. Vestibule floor is of anti-skid aluminum plate. Ceiling and panel of the luggage room is of steel plate with plastic sprayed on. Drain port and anti-water lattice is considered for the floor of the luggage room.The following parts and subassemblies such as No.15 Grade-C steel coupler, Grade-C steel coupler yoke, G1 buffer, rubber gangway diaphragm, CW-200K bogie, type 104 electro-pneumatic brake and disc brake device are employed for the luggage van. Air is supplied via double pipes. No air conditioner and heating device is needed in the luggage van.Its power is centralized supplied and controlled from the coupled refrigerator-car. The luggage van is equipped with monitoring system which monitor head is in the luggage room and host processor is in the refrigerator-car. The lighting is from the fluorescent lights. And emergency lighting is considered. The fluorescent light of the luggage room is protected with metallic hood of conveniently dismantled type. Power supply and lighting inside the luggage van can be automatically controlled or centralized controlled by attendants from the rest room.The whole train is equipped with network monitoring system composed of WTB (wired train bus) and MVB (multifunction vehicle bus) controlled by PLC, running safety monitoring and diagnosing system and radio transmission system. Fire alarming system is also considered for safety account.Side door, gangway door and inner end entrance door are of hinge type. Two double-leaf pocket sliding doors are installed at each sidewall. The luggage room is equipped with fixed windows for absorbing light. The sign of putting luggage together is considered in the luggage room.Vestibule is at “B” end of the luggage van, and the other part is luggage room. The vestibule is equipped with switchboard, emergency brake valve and fire extinguishers.
