To meet the requirement of the fifth speed up campaign of Chinese railways, and based on the proven technology of previous Model YW25G and YW25K semi-cushioned berth sleeping car, the Model YW25T semi-cushioned berth sleeping car was developed and manufactured by TRC. This kind of car is of main traffic equipments on Chinese railway trunk lines.
The planar arrangement of this car is as follows: vestibules at its both ends; lavatory, attendant’s room, electric water boiler, PLC control cabinet and short-corridor at “B” end of the car; open-type washing room for three persons simultaneously, dustbin, lavatory and short-corridor at “A” end of the car; 11 semi-closed compartments and side corridor at the central part. Its sleeping capacity is 66 persons, and that of this kind of car with special facilities for disabled persons is 60 persons. Main performance indexes are in accordance with GB/T 12817 General Technical Terms and Conditions of Standard Gauge Railway Passenger Car and TB/T 2646 General Technical Terms and Conditions of Railway Passenger Sleeping Car.
Modular structure and humanization design concept is preferred. The car possesses the advantages of reasonable planar arrangement and interior layout, harmonious internal and external tone, and high riding comfort. The following subassemblies such as CW-200K bogie, integrated electro-pneumatic brake device, tight-locked coupler, network monitoring system composed of WTB (wired train bus) and MVB (multifunction vehicle bus) controlled by PLC, running safety monitoring and diagnosing system and radio transmission system are employed. So its running safety and reliability is improved greatly. It can meet the requirement of running 20 hours at the constant speed of 160 km/h, and non-maintenance for running 5,000 km after repair in depot. Exterior paint is two-pack polyurethane coating with aesthetic effect no less than that of BSP car.
