The 160 km/h tilting DMU developed and manufactured by TRC has employed the advanced tilting technology. When negotiating curvature, carbody tilting angle is 0~8°, so its ride comfort index is improved a lot. It also employed the advanced radial bogie. When negotiating curvature, wheel-rail force and abrasion can be effectively reduced, so curve passing speed is increased by 20~30% than common railway passenger cars. To improve safety and reliability, the tilting DMU also introduced some other international-level high-tech subassemblies such as QSK19 horizontal diesel engine from CUMMINS Co., USA, T311R hydraulic transmission box from VOITH Co., Germany, electromechanical tilting system from ESW Co., Germany, etc. The tilting DMU is more suitable for speed up campaign of existing standard gauge trunk lines.Passenger compartments of the tilting DMU are divided into the first class one and the second class one. The first class one is equipped with business saloon and passenger information system (PIS). More than 100 television programs can be picked by passengers.
