Tappan Wire & Cable was founded in 1978 as a manufacturer of specialty wire and cable for the communications and computer industries. In August, 2007, Tappan Wire and Cable, Inc. announced that its management team completed an acquisition of the Company. The financing for this transaction was provided by both the Management team of Tappan Wire & Cable and Allied Capital Corporation, a leading business development company (BDC) in the U.S. that invests private debt and equity capital in middle market businesses nationwide. The combined resources of Tappan Wire & Cable and Allied Capital, offers the unique opportunity to quickly increase our product offering and expand our services. Tappan Wire & Cable offers a wide array of wire & cable products, utilizing various insulating and jacketing materials, in compliance with UL, NEC & CSA standards.
