Alonet 50 - Each tablet contains 50mg of Atenolol as active ingredient
Alonet 100 - Each tablet contains 100mg of Atenolol as active ingredient.

- hypertension
- spasms of the heart (anginal pectoris)
- heart rhythm disorders
-after a sudden heart attack (myocardial infarction) in order to prevent another heart attack

Dosage and use:
The dosage may vary from person to person. Your doctor will gradually determine the right dose regiment for you.

Unless otherwise described by your doctor, the use is as follows:
HYPERTENSION: 50-100 mg daily
ANGINA PECTORIS: 50-100 mg daily
AFTER A SUDDEN HEART ATTACK (MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION): initial intravenous treatment (vial the veins) is followed by oral administration as follows: 50 mg after 15 minutes, followed by 50 mg after 12 hours. Then 100 mg a day for 6 days.
In patients with a deteriorating functioning of the kidneys the doctor may decide to give a lower dosage.
In older patients the therapy is started with lower dosages.
The tablets can best be taken with plenty of water (one glass).
