The Red Balloon Co. opened its Chicago doors in 1998 as a children's furniture store, selling handmade furniture of our own design, like our signature decoupaged toy chests. In the years to come, we expanded to include a wide selection of children's clothing, books, toys, and room accessories--all selected for durability and the wonderful, whimsical qualities that make childhood so special.
