Inspired by the birth of my first son, and with a vision of offering a collection of exclusive baby gifts and clothing, The Royal Nursery began in 1984 as a mail order business in Northbrook, Illinois. By 1988, The Royal Nursery opened its first retail store in San Diego, California. Twenty four years after the creation of The Royal Nursery, we have relocated to the Del Mar/Carmel Valley area in San Diego, CA, after being located in La Jolla, CA (1988-2005) and Rancho Santa Fe, CA (2007-2008). Our store is in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center, which is conveniently accessable from I-5. With the opening of our newest store, our reputation continues as a nationally known baby boutique, noted for offering only the finest in baby gifts, clothing & accessories. Our name, The Royal Nursery, was chosen based on the reasoning that if one were to visualize the ultimate baby nursery, one would picture a nursery of royalty, filled with very special and unique baby gifts. From that simple premise, the name The Royal Nursery was conceived. Our goal at The Royal Nursery is to provide you with an unsurpassed selection of the most unique, creative, and unusual baby gifts available.
