Tinplate is a low carbon steel sheet (base metal), coated on both sides with a thin layer of tin, through an electrolytic process. Tinplate is the primary raw material for the packaging industry and is largely used as it is malleable and can be easily recycled.
Tinplate takes the form of the required shape very easily and some of the largely used forms are tin cans and containers. We buy overrollings, tinplate misprints, waste/waste grades from the tin cans / containers manufacturers or tinplate waste grade dealers in bulk quantities.
Tin-Free Steel (TFS) is also known as chromed steel, as it is obtained by coating the metal base (low-carbon steel) with an ultra-thin layer of metallic chrome and then with a chromium oxide layer.
