Tisarbon® is the registered trade mark for Polycarbonate (PC) compounds produced by Tisan.
Polycarbonate is a member of the best known amorphous engineering polymers. High light transmission properties and optical applications are preferred. Structure is very sensitive to moisture so as to use special injection conditions is very important. Tisarbon® being a good electrical insulator having heat and flame resistant properties, it is used in myriad products associated with electrical and telecommunications hardware. According to the usages of our customers in different industries and their properties determined by P & D work unfilled, flame retardant, glass fiber reinforced and color compounds are produced.
Tisarbon® can produce very smooth surfaces the automotive industry that make it well suited for direct metalised parts such as decorative parts and optical reflectors. However, due to its susceptibility to environmental stress cracking, its use is limited to low stress applications.
All materials comply with the RoHS norm requirements.
Modification of PC by compounding with glass fiber, flame retardants, mineral fillers and additives produces a substantial change in the properties of the polymer resin and gives to compositions based on Tisarbon® the following properties:
