Product Discription:
ACSR conductors consist of a solid or stranded steel core surrounded by strands of aluminum (E.C. GRADE). ACSR conductors are available in a wide range of steel, containing carbon from 0.5% to 0.85 %. The higher strength ACSR conductors are used for river crossings, overhead ground wires, installations involving extra long spans etc. Against any given resistance of conductor, ACSR may be manufactured within a wide range of tensile strength as per the requirement.

Key Benefits :
The principal advantage of these conductors are high tensile strength so that they are used for longer spans with less supports. Due to the greater diameter of ACSR conductors a much higher corona limit can be obtained causing big advantages on high as well as extra high voltage overhead lines.

Features:

1. high Tensile strength
2. better sag properties
3. economic designl
4. best suited for transmission lines with long spans.

Specifications:
SURAL bare ACSR conductors meet or exceed the following ASTM specifications:

B-230 Aluminum Wire, 1350-H19 for Electrical Purposes
B-232 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded,Coated Steel Reinforced (ACSR)
B-341 Aluminum Coated (Aluminized) Steel Core Wire for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR/AZ)
B-498 Zinc Coated Steel (Galvanized) Core Wire for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR)
B-500 Zinc Coated and Aluminum Coated Stranded Steel Core for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR)
ACSR supplies by the company are all international standards like ASTM, AS, BS, CSA, DIN, IEC, NFC, SS etc.

Applications:
  • Hightension Lines
  • Overhead transmission cable
  • Overhead ground wires
  • river crossings
