The ginseng we have is from a US grower that is concerned in what methods are used for ginseng production. In their growing of this fabulous herb, they do not use herbicides/pesticides. The use of a fungicide is withheld for the year prior to harvesting. They have had testing on the plant tissue, soil, and water for the presence of organophosphate pesticides and chlorinated pesticides at an independent laboratory. Testing out at a non-detectable level. We chose to carry just the 4 year old roots, due to their cost being more widely accepted. This is to allow more people to be able to buy this herb.
