Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coatings
The FlexCheck valve is coated internally and externally with Fusion Bonded Epoxy. The 300µ coating is highly resistant to abrasion and forms an excellent barrier against corrosion. The coating is fully WRAS approved.
Non Slam/Anti Water Hammer
The FlexCheck seat is at a 45° angle, with a resultant 35° disc-stroke, less than half that of a conventional swing check valve. The seat angle, combined with the flexible action of the disk ‘hinge’ and the reduced closure time ensures that slam and water hammer are significantly reduced.
Full Flow Capability
The internal profile, seat contour and lack of internal hinges, shafts, pins and bearings ensure an unrestricted flow path and the highest possible flow capacity. The FlexCheck Kv (resistant co-efficient) is extremely high and compares favourably with the best conventional swing check valves available.
The hinge of the encapsulated disk is nylon reinforced. This nylon webbing increases the strength and integrity of the critical flexing area and ensures absolute reliability. This critical hinge area has been subjected to an independent 1,000,000-cycle test and carries a 25-year guarantee. The unique design of the valve and its flexible ‘hinge’ means that, unlike conventional swing check valves, there are no pins, shafts or bearings to wear.
A The absence of internal bearings and linkages enables the FlexCheck to be installed in applications where turbulent flow is present. Therefore, unlike most conventional swing check valves, the FlexCheck can be installed immediately adjacent to a pump or other equipment, eliminating the usual five to ten diameters of straight pipe before and after the valve.
