Weighmatics throughput weigher consists of a buffer hopper, weighing hopper and a dumping hopper with pneumatic gates and supporting structure. The product is conveyed through a bucket elevator and the filling sequence starts. The material is conveyed to the buffer hopper. The controller automatically tares the gross weight to obtain a Net Weight of zero. The material is then fed into the weigh hopper via a pneumatic gate which controls the rate at which it is fed. The controller compares the actual weight with the target weight settings. When the final weight is reached the pneumatic gate of the buffer storage is latched and the feeding is stopped. Once the feeding is stopped the end of batch is signaled and the Totalizer and Bag Counter are updated automatically. This weighed quantity is immediately discharged through a dispensing chute and the weighing hopper gets ready for the next weighing cycle.
