Automatically control sprayed liquids for dust suppression dampening and quenching. - No external power required - Robust brass spark free construction - Actuated by wheel rotation - Automatically stops - Specifically designed for mining and materials handling operation Purpose To automatically control water and other fluids sprayed on to transported materials such as Coal, Coke, Granite, Gravel, Iron-ore, Sand, Stone etc., for cleansing, dampening, dust suppression and quenching purposes. The unit provides automatic action to ensure that spraying takes place only with moving loads and stops spraying if conveyors or belts are empty or stopped, when drenching of plant and materials can be very detrimental. Units can also be adapted for sequence on/off control of related conveyors. Operation A water supply valve is integrally built into this unit and this valve automatically opens by rotation of the driving pulley. Cessation of wheel rotation closes the valve. It will operate at all normal speeds and temperatures.Power The motive power to this hydraulically operated unit is provided by transporters or conveyors, thus eliminating the need for independent power points.
