Vibrators consist of a vibration head, a switch unit and a rubberized fabric hose with cable to connect them. Three-phase asynchronous electric motor with hermetically sealed case of the short-circuited rotor is built into the vibration head. Rotor shaft features unbalances. The driving force occurs when they start rotating.
The voltage of 42V and frequency of 200 Hz is necessary for the vibrator operation. Since the frequency of the supply voltage is different from standard frequency 50 (60) Hz, it is necessary to use equipment that allows obtaining voltage of required frequency. This equipment is usually referred to as frequency converters. There exist two types of frequency converters:
- MECHANIC CONVERTERS;
- ELECTRONIC CONVERTERS.
Mechanic frequency converters were the first to appear on the market and now they are considered to be out-of-date type of converters. The example is converter IE-9405 or any foreign counter prart.
Electronic frequency converters are the most advanced types of frequency converters. This equipment features electronic components. There is no mechanic components, which makes their endurance virtually unlimited. Due to the safety system that protects from practically any type of extraordinary situations, electronic frequency converters are the safest for the vibrator connected to it and for the operator who operates it.
