Ammonium Nitrate
Ammonium nitrate - NH4NO3 - is obtained by neutralisation of nitric acid with ammonia. The fertilizer is manufactured in the form of white prills; other colours are possible depending on the anticaking agents used (surfactants and powdering agents). Ammonium nitrate is a strong chemical reactant, very hygroscopic and water soluble. This product should be protected from moisture and overheating.
